I have stayed at Pension Francia several times, one night or a couple of nights. It is a Pension, and the standard is accordingly. But, staff is polite and helpful, rooms are clean - usually shared bathroom - but still clean and nice. And not to forget it is situated right in the centre of the old Ghotic quater, almost next to Santa Maria de la Mar. Full of charm, nice and warm.

The hotel staff was quite helpful. When I arrived, I was carrying a huge luggage with me and there was no elevator, so the staff was helping me carrying it to my room.

The shared bathroom is really dirty. The bedroom is too small and the ventilation is poor. Also, the hotel was trying to enforce quite hours' rule, but it didn't really work and every time when somebody else on my floor made noise, I could hear it very clearly.

The hotel was nice especially its service, I can go and return to the hotel at any time, its location in the middle of the city so you can move easily.

The location is the only good thing about this pension.

The rooms were extremely small, and claustrophobic with less than basic facilities, our room had no window, 1 room had no window, but a noisy fan, the other was tiny, with a small window into a central shaft, which was sweltering during the night, the sheets had long seen better days. The communal bathroom was frankly disgusting, mouldy, dirty with a broken shower door. I was noisy throughout the night. About 4 floor up a dingy stair case made this pension really poor value . We were appalled.

It's a lovely hotel, with clean and good rooms (not too big, but that is never a problem for me). A vey kind and helpfull staff and a great location ! I had a great time and will be back here again. (specialy the price/quality was muy bueno)

It could be, maybe, a little bit noisy in the nighttime sometimes, but I'm a good sleeper so didn't had any troubles with that.

The location was great and the staff are friendly and helpful. The place was quite a "kitch" design but I think that was due to it not being upgraded in a long time rather than on purpose!

It was a bit of a shock when we arrived. The rooms are tiny and roasting due to no air con. We had a window so not too bad compared to others. We also had a private shower but if your room does not I wouldn't stay. All was just about ok bar one thing. You don't get to take a key for your room, you are buzzed in by the 24hr reception and they hand you a key to your room. Every time you leave or come back you hand it or collect it to reception. All is well unless no one is there! We had a couple of occasions when we tried to get in and no one answered the door so we couldn't get to our room. At the end we missed our train as no one was there to let us in so we couldn't get our luggage!

This was probably the most basic room I have ever stayed in. It was very hot, no air circulating and the fan which did work was meant to be fixed to the wall so had to be hand held while it was on since it couldn't balance on anything. Also the telly didn't work, the wardrobe drawers didn't open, the wardrobe doors wouldn't close because the safe door couldn't close. On a plus not the location was great very central and accessible and the staff were very polite and friendly.

We rested company of three men in may 2011. The windows of our rooms were on the quiet street. There was the balcony where we can smoke. The room had a shower, tv, Wi-Fi. Every day clean the room, change the bed linen and towels. It was clean. Staff friendly, speaks all languages, including Russian. Location of hotel good. Located near the beach, the park, French station, shops. All recommend to stay in this hotel!

Rooms are very small,a bit old and dark , there is something You can call window but You can not see sun behind it :)

The staff were really friendly and helpful.

The noise was really bad as all doors made a noise when opened and closed and those leaving early spoke in normal voice instead of whispering as they must have known that there is no sound proofing whatsoever in the hotel. The bed kept jolting when getting in to it and the pillow was really lumpy.

I have stayed at this pension three times and always found it to be spotlessly clean.On this occasion it was not, the bathrooms had mould around the showers and the rooms you couldn't swing a cat in them. Also the towels had holes in them. I would not stay there again. This pension has maintenance issues.

Good location, friendly staff

A bit hard to find, rooms are located in the apartment building with no elevator, beacause our room was faceing a small inner yard (really small) the noise coming from other windows was sometimes quite loud.

Location of the hotel was the best. You can walk out on a small balcony and to sit and relax

Unfortunately there were lots of things which we didn't like in this hotel: -united shower and wc for the shole floor (they don't announce it at all!), -very old shower cabin, -very hard mattress, -only one working bulb in a chandelier, and so on. We've got much more comfortable rooms for the same amount of money
